Read Éva néni’s diary and then answer the questions.

Digital Day 1.

I spend an enormous amount of time in front of the screen already writing emails, reading news and creating blog pages. I hope this is going to get better! I mean less. I’d better be strict with my daily routine. Here I am, at 11pm writing this post. What do you think? Is this normal? Well, I’ll tell you why… 

When you have three kids and elderly parents to take care of, you are the last in line, you might as well accept it. It’s no problem for me though. I love my family and I love my job, too. My students seem to be excited about this new digital way of learning. I hope they will be happy to do their exercises online. They always whine about this at school! They would like to use tablets and mobile phones on every English lesson. However, I don’t let them because then it would be called an ICT lesson, ha-ha! 

I think it will be difficult for them to find their ways in this new kind of life. They can’t go out, they can’t meet their friends and they see their parents much more. That’s the worst news for a teenager, I guess. Anyway I only laugh at this. Kids need more time with their folks. They can learn skills that are even more important than Geometry or Poetry. These are important, too. But in my opinion, every kid should learn a few tricks in the kitchen from Mom. And every kid should help a little around the car with Dad. Learn to make pancakes, for example. Or learn how to change a tire. Maybe they could help in the garden, too, or do the vacuuming.

I hope everything will find its place in a couple of days. What do you think? How are you feeling nowdays? Are you happy about staying at home? How do you spend your days? Do you miss something from school? What do you think about your new type of exercises? How long do you think we will stay at home?
